Job Summary:
The AWS Senior Cloud Engagement Manager is responsible for leading client engagements and managing the delivery of AWS cloud solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to build strong client relationships. The AWS Senior Cloud Engagement Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored cloud strategies, and ensure the successful implementation of AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing AWS cloud engagements from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AWS cloud projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with technical teams to design, implement, and optimize AWS solutions.
- Conduct regular status meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and address any issues.
- Provide expert guidance on AWS best practices, cloud architecture, and service optimization.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Develop project documentation, including requirements, project plans, and progress reports.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and solutions to drive client success.
- Ensure client satisfaction and act as an advocate for the client within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (mandatory)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification (preferred)
- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing and project management.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Proven experience in managing client engagements and delivering cloud solutions.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a [relevant clearance level, e.g., Secret, Top Secret, etc.], as required by the position.
- Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud.
- Excellent client management and relationship-building skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
